On January 9 and 10 2007, Austrian pianist Christopher Hinterhuber recorded the Ries Piano Concerto "Abschieds-Concert von England” ("Farewell to London") with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic conducted by Uwe Grodd. |

Concerto will be coupled with Introduction et Variations Brillantes, Op. 170
and Grand Variations on "Rule Britannia", Op. 166.
These world-premiere recordings are part of the ongoing Naxos project to record the complete works for piano and orchestra of Ries. The sessions were produced and engineered by Tim Handley.
